ALAMEDA, Calif. -- A 15-year-old girl is dead after she was found shot at an Alameda park Halloween night.
At 10:12 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting victim in Washington Park at 799 Central Ave. Officers found 15-year-old Ichinesehorloo Bayarsaikhan suffering at least one gunshot wound in the playground area of the park, police said.
The girl was at the park with several of her friends when a group of about six Asian male teenagers approached and tried to rob them at gunpoint, according to Alameda Police Department spokesman Arturo Fuentes.
One of the boys fired several shots and one of those rounds hit the girl, Fuentes said.
Police have cordoned off the area and are looking for the gunman.
