Lake of tears来自极端金属旺盛之地瑞典，组建于1992年5月，成员：主唱/吉他Daniel Brennare，吉他Jonas Eriksson，BASS：Michael Larsson，鼓手：Johan Oudhuis。乐队成员均来自于Death Metal乐队，由两支死亡金属乐队成员组成了L.O.T。加入Black Mark公司后Lake Of Tears开始制作他们的首张专辑《Greater Art》。 于93年12月在瑞典著名的Sunlight studio开始录制。
“black brick road"是04年发行的专辑。这是一张充满金属力量与黑暗意境的专辑。第一首歌“the greymem"是专辑里最出色的歌。开头是迷幻的电子乐，在这片平静的湖水中渐渐加入了铿锵的键盘声， 似乎预示着某种爆发。果然，随着歌声的响起，一段充满力量美妙的电子乐占领了人的耳朵。随后是清新动听的木吉他，直到高潮的再次来临。歌前半部分的伴奏都是在那段充满力量的电子乐和清新的木吉他之间转换，还有迟缓有致的架子鼓。中间出现了一段非常棒的吉他solo，加上了效果器，重金属的感觉。歌的结尾部分无论是歌声还是伴奏都更富有激情了，重金属吉他效果和那段电子乐同时出现，让人的感受达到了极致。 第三首歌是“black brick road"，与专辑同名的歌曲。这首歌没有了“the greymem"的激情，歌手一直都是在缓缓地低低地沉闷地倾诉，深情的磁性嗓音一直在心中萦绕。让人忧伤的木吉他回复段贯穿整首歌，同样是迟缓有致的架子鼓。可贵的是偶尔出现的管弦乐，如黑色天幕中闪烁的星星。同样的，中间有段十分短暂的加上效果器的吉他solo ，优美而深沉，让人思考的时刻。 |
